Oxford Convergence 2025

29-30 March 2025, Corpus Christi College, Oxford

You are warmly invited to Oxford Convergence 2025: True Companionship - Solitude and Belonging at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, from March 29th–30th, 2025.

"My solitude doesn't depend on the presence or absence of people; on the contrary, I hate who steals my solitude without, in exchange, offering me true company."
(attr. F. Nietzsche)

This free cultural event explores the epidemic of loneliness in today’s world, addressing its impact on climate change, economic inequality, and mental health. Focusing on the power of meaningful connection and reflection, Convergence 2025 offers a space for new conversations about loneliness, belonging, and solidarity.
Join us for 2 days of discussions with leading experts like Professors Rosalind Cornforth, Sir Brian Hoskins, and John Barton. They'll explore a wide range of topics, from ecology to historical perspectives on companionship.

In addition, the event offers compelling exhibitions, including one on the life of Dame Cicely Saunders (founder of the Hospice movement), a science exhibition, and a honouring transformative influential composers such as Liszt and Pärt.

Don’t miss the opportunity to connect, reflect, and learn - detailed programme is available at: https://convergenceuk.org/programme-2025-1.

Registrations are now open for both days at this link: https://convergenceuk.org/registration
