Terms and Conditions

1. General Conditions of Use
By using the services connected with the site www.clonline.org (hereinafter referred to as “services” or “service”), users are bound to respect the conditions and terms of use detailed below.

The Fraternity of Communion and Liberation, the editor and owner of the site and its domain, maintains the right to modify, supplement, add on to, or eliminate parts of these conditions at any time, and to notify interested parties by posting the modified version on the website or alerting them by email. Each reader is responsible for periodically reviewing these conditions to ensure he or she is aware of any modifications made since his or her last visit to the site. Regardless of this, use of the site and its services constitutes a binding acceptance of any changes made since a user’s last visit.

The Fraternity of Communion and Liberation maintains the right to change, suspend, or interrupt all or part of the services, including access to the database or its contents. The Fraternity of Communion and Liberation also maintains the right to introduce limitations to all or a part of site access or services without advance notice and without assuming any liability for such limitation of service.

2. Contents and services of the site www.clonline.org and their use by readers
The contents and services of the site www.clonline.org are intended for personal, not professional, use. The reproduction or collection of any content for any purpose other than personal use is expressly forbidden without prior express, written authorization from the author or copyright holder as indicated on the site.

All materials published on the site are protected by copyright laws and are the property of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation or of those who legitimately hold rights under those laws. Readers are required to comply with any additional indications that may be posted on the site regarding intellectual property rights in the contents accessed when using the services of the site.

Unless otherwise indicated, all texts and images of Msgr. Luigi Giussani, Fr. Julián Carrón and Davide Prosperi are the property of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation.

The reproduction of images of Msgr. Luigi Giussani, Fr. Julián Carrón and Davide Prosperi belonging to the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation present on the site www.clonline.org is allowed exclusively for strictly personal use, and any other use is forbidden. Those photographs are available exclusively in the format present on the site itself. For photographs that are the property of third parties, requests must be made directly to the copyright holder. The Fraternity of Communion and Liberation is available to correct any errors that may appear in the attribution of the ownership of copyright in photographs and to take whatever measures are reasonably possible to correct such errors.

The reproduction of texts is allowed exclusively for personal use, and they may not be reproduced, in part or in their entirety, without prior consent of the Fraternity, except in the situation outlined in the following paragraph.


3. Statement of responsibilities and guarantees
In accessing the site and its services, the reader is required to refrain from:

a. using the site or any material on the site for any illegal purposes;
b. using the site in a way that may interfere with, damage, or render the site – in whole or in part – less efficient, or in a way that may damage the functionality or efficiency of the site in any way;
c. using the site for the transmission or uploading of viruses or any other material that may in any way cause harm or injury;
d. using the site for the transmission of advertising and/or promotional materials without written permission from the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation.

The Fraternity of Communion and Liberation is not liable for the material used and/or actions taken by readers while navigating the site, nor does the Fraternity assume any liability related to the transmission of any virus or other harmful content originating from third parties onto a user’s device.

The reader acknowledges that any trust placed in the truthfulness and reliability of the opinions, statements, indications, and information published on the site is at the reader’s sole discretion, and he or she is responsible for any related consequences. The service and all downloadable materials are provided “as is,” in the state in which they are found, without warranties of any kind. The reader, therefore, acknowledges that he or she is exclusively responsible for all use of such materials.


4. Newsletter
Users may subscribe to the newsletter by filling out the appropriate form found on the site. The submission of this request constitutes an agreement to have one’s personal data processed.


5. Miscellaneous
The competent authority for the application of these rules is the Milan Tribunal.

6. Protection of personal data
Personal data provided by the reader, including in subscribing to the newsletter, is protected in accordance with REG. (EU) 679/2016.

All personal information sent to the site will be processed in accordance with laws governing the protection of personal data. The communication of any data of a non-personal nature to the editor, site manager, or proprietor of the blog (including suggestions, ideas, designs, projects, etc.) constitutes a grant to the recipient of the right to use, reproduce, display, implement, modify, post, or distribute said non-personal data.


During its normal operation, the information systems and software procedures used for the functions of the site collect certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of the internet, based on TCP/IP protocol.

This is information which in the process of its collection is not associated with identified data subjects, but may by its very nature, through processing and association with data held by others, enable the users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who visit the website, the addresses in the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) format of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting, the request to the web server, the dimensions of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the state of the response given by the web server (success, error, etc...) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to verify that it is operating correctly, and is deleted immediately after the analysis. This data may be used to ascertain who is responsible for cyber crimes causing harm to the site.

The voluntary sending of email to the addresses listed on the site entails the resulting collection of the address of the sender, which is necessary to respond to requests made, and also the collection of other personal data included in the correspondence.

The subjects of personal data have the right to obtain confirmation of whether this data is being processed or not, to know the content and the source of the data, to verify its accuracy, and to request that it be supplemented, updated, or corrected (art. 13 del REG. (EU) 679/2016). Pursuant to the same article, data subjects have the right to ask for data to be erased or modified into an anonymous format, and the right to ask that any processing of data that is in violation of the law be stopped; in addition, they have the right to object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of data at any time.
