Agenda:
Communion, the unity of the believers, the Church, is His Body, the method God has chosen to remain present in history. If at times this seems far off and extraneous to us, without consequences in our life, it is because whether we knew it or not, we have previously reduced the meaning of communion itself. It is not recognized as the mystery of Christ, the fact of Christ present. (Davide Prosperi, BoYD Milan)
Reason is that singular event of nature in which it – reason – reveals itself as the operative need to explain reality in all of its factors so that we are introduced to the truth about things … The religious sense appears as a first and most authentic application of the term reason because it never ceases responding relentlessly to reason’s most basic need, for meaning. (Fr Giussani, The Religious Sense)
How does the work on The Religious Sense help us not to reduce the companionship to any preconceptions that we may have?
How do we experience communion as a shared responsibility to cooperate in God’s work?
What helps us to be relentless in our search for meaning?
