AVSI Dinner: A Friendly Presence

WHEN: Sunday 6 December @ 6.45 for 7.00 pm start
WHERE: Holy Family Parish Hall, Vale Lane, London W3 0DY Nearest tube: West Acton (Central Line) or North Ealing (Piccadilly Line)

A group of us have decided to organise a dinner to recollect the meaning of Christ's birth in our life and to raise funds for AVSI, an international charity, which welcomed the Pope's call "to give a concrete hope" to refugees running away from wars, persecutions and natural disasters (7 projects are funded in this Christmas campaign).

The suggested minimum contribution for the dinner - 3 course menu including wine - will be £20 (please bring cash directly at the dinner).

During dinner, there will be a moment with Christmas Carols and a short video about some AVSI projects.

As the title says, what we are waiting for in this period leading to Christmas (and in our daily life too) is a Friendly Presence, i.e. a Presence gazing upon us with such a love that makes us experience true freedom.
So not only we invite you to come to this event, but we also suggest you to invite a friendly presence you have in your life. It could be someone you share a deep friendship with, or someone you have just met and would like to know more, or again someone you would like to invite to the friendship you have with other people. By doing so, I am sure that we will all be much more waiting for this event and hence the waiting for His presence at that dinner will be more evident to everybody.

The leaflet attached can be used to invite friends and colleagues.
